Scanned documents
A scan doesn't store text, it stores an image of each page. If it was scanned at high resolution or in color, each page can take several megabytes. These shrink the most when compressed.
Reduce the size of your PDF files quickly, easily and securely.
Upload a document of up to 100 MB. SoloHazlo will take care of optimizing it.
Your files are processed temporarily and deleted automatically.
Choose the PDF file you want to shrink.
Our system optimizes the document automatically.

Few things are as frustrating as filling out an online application only to have the platform reject your document at the end because it "exceeds the allowed size". The same thing happens when you send a PDF by email or WhatsApp. Compressing the file solves the problem without changing its content.
With SoloHazlo you choose your PDF (up to 100 MB), we optimize it automatically, and when it's done we show you the original size, the final size and the percentage it shrank, so you know right away whether it meets the limit you need.
Knowing where the size comes from helps you know how much you can expect to shrink it:
A scan doesn't store text, it stores an image of each page. If it was scanned at high resolution or in color, each page can take several megabytes. These shrink the most when compressed.
Today's cameras take very large photos. If you turned photos of your ID, receipts or homework into a PDF, the file is usually heavy and has plenty of room to be optimized.
PDFs exported from PowerPoint, Canva or designs with lots of photos include high-quality images that can usually be made lighter without anyone noticing.
A text-only PDF created from Word is already light. In these cases the reduction is usually small, because there's almost nothing to optimize.
Applications and portals with size limits. Many government sites, universities, job boards and insurers only accept files of a few megabytes. Check the limit the portal shows and compress until you're under it.
Email. Services like Gmail limit the total size of attachments per message. A compressed PDF saves you from sending download links or splitting it across several emails.
WhatsApp and messaging. A lighter file sends faster, uses less data, and the person receiving it can open it without waiting, which is welcome when sharing from a phone.
After merging several documents. If you used Merge PDF to combine scans, the result may go over the limit. Compressing it is the natural next step.
Tap the upload area and choose your PDF. Before continuing you'll see its name and current size. The maximum is 100 MB.
The document is optimized automatically; you don't have to choose levels or configure anything. The time depends on the size and the number of pages.
You'll see the original size, the final size and the reduction percentage. If the new size meets what you need, download it and you're done.
Open the file before sending it. Check that the text, signatures and stamps are still easy to read, especially in official or scanned documents.
If it's still too big, split it. When a document is very long, compression sometimes isn't enough. You can split it into parts with Split PDF and send it as several files.
Remove the pages you don't need. If the portal only asks for certain pages, keep just those using Extract pages and then compress. Fewer pages always means a smaller file.
Scan in black and white. If you're digitizing text documents, scanning them in grayscale or black and white produces much lighter files from the start than scanning in color.
That's normal for PDFs that are already optimized or contain only text. If the resulting file isn't smaller, keep your original. To shrink it further, try removing pages or splitting the document.
First split the document into smaller parts with Split PDF and compress each one separately.
The PDF may be password-protected or damaged. Open it on your computer: if it asks for a password or doesn't open properly, that's the problem. If the server is busy, wait a few minutes and try again.
Compression reduces the size of images, and in highly detailed photos it may show when you zoom in. Digital text isn't affected. If you need maximum quality for printing, keep the original file too.
To compress your PDF, the file is sent to our server, processed, and the result is made available for you to download through a private link. Files are deleted from the server automatically shortly after processing. We don't look at the content of your documents or share them with third parties.
Your original file, the one on your device, isn't changed: SoloHazlo creates a separate compressed copy.
It depends on its content. Scans and PDFs with lots of photos usually shrink a lot; text-only documents, very little. When it's done you'll see the exact percentage achieved for your file.
There's no need. SoloHazlo automatically applies an optimization designed to reduce the size while keeping the document readable.
For now, one file is processed at a time. If your documents belong together, you can merge them first with Merge PDF and compress the result in a single step.
