A Word file looks different depending on the computer that opens it: if the other person doesn't have the same version of Office or the same fonts, margins change, tables shift, and a one-page résumé ends up taking two. Plus, anyone can change it without noticing. PDF solves both: it looks exactly the same on any device and is much harder to alter.
That's why job boards, schools, firms and most online applications ask for documents in PDF. With SoloHazlo you convert your Word file without installing software and without needing Office on the device you're using.

Many school platforms only accept PDF. It also keeps your table of contents, footnotes and page numbers from getting jumbled when the teacher opens the file.
A formal document in PDF looks professional and can't be edited by accident. If you need to protect it later, add a password with Protect PDF.
If you're printing at a copy shop, bringing the PDF guarantees it prints exactly as you designed it, even if their computer doesn't have your fonts.
Before converting, make sure the document is saved in its final version. If Track Changes is on, accept or reject any pending revisions.
Select or drag the file. DOCX and DOC from any version of Word are accepted, as well as ODT (LibreOffice) and RTF, up to 50 MB.
Press "Convert to PDF". When it's done you'll see how many pages the result has; open it to confirm everything is in place before sending it.
Use common fonts. Calibri, Arial, Times New Roman, Cambria and similar fonts carry over very well. Fonts downloaded from the internet or very decorative ones may be swapped for a similar font; if the design matters, in Word turn on File → Options → Save → Embed fonts in the file before uploading it.
Check the page count. If your document must take an exact number of pages (like a one-page résumé), compare the count we show you with Word's.
Comments aren't printed. Margin comments and revision marks don't appear in the PDF. If you need them to show, turn them into text inside the document.
To fix something small after converting, there's no need to go back to Word: you can change text directly with Edit PDF.
The most common reason is that the document has an open password. Open it in Word, go to File → Info → Protect Document, remove the password, save and try again. It can also happen if the file is damaged or didn't download completely.
If you used a special font that doesn't come with Windows, it's replaced with a similar one. Embed the fonts in Word (see the tips above) or switch that part to a common font before converting.
It's usually caused by a page break or an empty paragraph at the end of the document. Delete it in Word and convert again, or remove the extra page with Extract pages.
Photos inserted in Word keep their original quality and resolution. If you need a smaller file, run it through Compress PDF.
Your file is sent to our server only to convert it. As soon as the PDF is ready, the original document is deleted; the PDF is available through a private link and is deleted automatically shortly after. Document macros aren't run. We don't look at the content of your files or share them with third parties.
No. The conversion happens on our server, so it works from any computer, tablet or phone, even without Office installed.
Yes. Hyperlinks keep working in the PDF and the table of contents keeps its formatting and numbering.
One document is converted at a time. If you need them in a single file, convert them one by one and then combine them with Merge PDF.
Use PDF to Word. If you only need to fix a few words, it's faster to do it right in the PDF with Edit PDF.
