Tips to shrink it even more
Trim what you don't need. Cutting the start and end with Trim video is the most effective way to reduce the size.
Use the High level for messaging. On a phone screen, 720p looks practically the same as 1080p.
If only the sound matters, convert it with Video to MP3: it'll be far smaller.
What happens to your videos
Your video is sent to our server only to compress it. The original is deleted as soon as the process ends, and the result is available through a private link that's deleted automatically shortly after. We don't watch or share your videos.
Frequently asked questions about compressing video
How much does it shrink?
It depends on the video. Phone recordings usually shrink by 50% to 90%. Ones that were already compressed (for example, downloaded from social media) shrink less.
Why does it take a while?
Compressing means processing every frame of the video. To protect the server, one video is processed at a time; if another is in progress, yours waits its turn.
What format does it end up in?
