JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, ICO, GIF, BMP or TIFF.
One image directly, or all of them together in a ZIP.
It happens to everyone: you try to upload a photo to a form and get "invalid format". iPhone photos are saved as HEIC, which many websites and Windows programs can't open; images you download from the internet often come as WebP; and some systems only accept JPG or PNG. Convert images solves that by changing the format without altering the content.
You can convert several images at once and choose the output format. Photos are straightened automatically based on how they were taken, and when converting to JPG, transparent areas are filled with white so they look right anywhere.
The most compatible format in the world. Ideal for photos: every form, social network, email and program accepts it. It doesn't support transparency.
Lossless quality with support for transparent backgrounds. Perfect for logos, screenshots, illustrations and text. For photos it produces larger files.
Built for the web: good-quality images at a much smaller size than JPG or PNG, with transparency. Use it for your website or online store.
The most modern format: even smaller than WebP at the same quality. Recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari open it; use it for fast websites.
It's the icon that appears in the browser tab. Upload your logo and get a .ico file with sizes from 16 to 256 pixels and a transparent background.
GIF for older systems that only accept that format (it's generated as a still image), BMP for programs that can't read other formats, and TIFF, with lossless compression, for print shops and archiving.
It's the format the iPhone saves photos in. It takes little space, but not everything can open it. Convert it to JPG to share it without problems.
HEIC to JPG. The most searched: turn your iPhone photos into a format that opens on Windows, Android and any website.
WebP to JPG or PNG. When you save an image from the internet and your editing program or printer doesn't recognize it.
PNG to JPG. To shrink photos that were saved as PNG, for example camera captures or images exported from an editor.
JPG or PNG to WebP. To make the images on your website load faster.
PNG logo to ICO. To create your website's favicon. If the logo isn't square, it's centered on a transparent background so it doesn't get distorted.
JPG or PNG to AVIF. To get the lightest possible images on your site, with no visible difference.
BMP or TIFF to JPG. Formats used by some scanners and older programs; converted to JPG they're much smaller and easy to send.
Up to 20 at once, up to 25 MB each. They can be in different formats.
All the images will be converted to the format you select. If in doubt, JPG works everywhere.
Each file keeps its name with the new extension. If you converted several, you get them in a ZIP.
That's normal: PNG stores the image losslessly, and for photos that takes more space. If you want a light file, choose JPG or WebP.
Converting an animated GIF takes the first frame of the animation; the result is always a still image, even if you convert to GIF.
JPG and BMP don't support transparency, so those areas are filled with white. To keep it, convert to PNG, WebP, AVIF, ICO or TIFF.
It may be damaged or have an extension that doesn't match its real format. Open it on your device and, if it looks fine, export it again or take a screenshot.
The images are sent to our server only to convert them. The originals are deleted as soon as the conversion ends, and the result is available through a private link that's deleted automatically shortly after. Hidden camera data, such as GPS location, is also removed.
Not to PNG, TIFF or BMP. Not to WebP either when the original is PNG, GIF, BMP or TIFF. For JPG, AVIF and WebP from a photo, the highest practical quality (95 out of 100) is used, where no difference is visible. The only exception is GIF, which supports just 256 colors, so it may show in photos. If you also want to reduce the size, afterwards use Compress images.
No. The converted image keeps its width and height in pixels. The only exception is ICO: icons have a maximum of 256 pixels per side.
Not to HEIC, because almost no site asks for it, and not to SVG either, because turning a photo into a vector doesn't give good results. To get a PDF use JPG to PDF, which also accepts HEIC, PNG and WebP.
Yes. If you pick the photos from the Files app they upload as HEIC and you convert them to JPG here; from the Photo Library, the iPhone sometimes hands them over as JPG already.
No. It's free with no sign-up. The site is supported by ads.
