Preparing your PDF… This takes a few seconds for large documents.

Fix and fill in your PDFs without going back to the original file

Someone sends you a PDF with your name misspelled, you spot a mistake in a quote you already exported, or you need to fill out a form with no fields to type in. If you don't have the original Word file, or someone else made the document, redoing it from scratch is a lot of work.

With the SoloHazlo editor you open the PDF in your browser, change the existing text or add new text wherever you need it, and download a corrected version. The editor tries to respect the position, size and color of the original text so the change is as unnoticeable as possible.

What you can use the editor for

Filling out non-editable forms

Applications, waivers or forms that only come ready to print. Add your name, date and details with the "Text" tool and skip printing, filling in by hand and scanning again.

Correcting your own documents

A typo in your résumé, a wrong date on a quote or an outdated price on your price list. Change it without having to find the file you made it with.

Updating templates

If you use the same PDF every month (a report, a menu, an internal form), update only the details that change and keep the whole design.

Adding notes and clarifications

Add text like "Received on March 15" or a note for whoever will review the document, without changing the original content.

How to edit a PDF with SoloHazlo

01

Open your PDF

Press "Select PDF" or "Open PDF". The pages will appear in the left panel; click any of them to go to it.

02

To change existing text, use "Edit"

When you turn it on, the editor highlights the text it could recognize on the page. Click the text you want to change and type the correction.

03

To add new text, use "Text"

Click the spot on the page where you want to type. With "Select" you can move it afterwards, and in the Properties panel you adjust the font size.

04

Review and save

Use zoom and the "Width" and "Page" buttons to review the result. When it's ready, press "Save PDF": you'll see a notice while it's generated and the download will start on its own.

Which PDFs edit best

PDFs created on a computer (exported from Word, Excel, Canva or a system): they contain real text, so the editor can recognize and change it. They give the best results.

Scanned PDFs or photos converted to PDF: each page is an image, so there's no text to recognize. In these cases you can't change the existing words, but you can add new text on top, for example to fill out a form.

About fonts: the editor looks for a typeface compatible with the document's. If the PDF uses an unusual font, the changed text may look slightly different. That's why it's worth zooming in on the lines you changed.

Tips to make the change unnoticeable

Keep a similar length. If you replace a word with a much longer one, the text may overlap what follows. Try to keep the correction a similar length.

Match the size when adding text. When typing new text next to existing text, adjust the size in Properties until it visually matches the rest of the page.

Make your changes before protecting or compressing. Edit first and then, if you need to, use Compress PDF or Protect PDF.

Responsible use of the editor

This tool is meant for correcting and completing your own documents or ones you're authorized to change. Don't use it to alter documents issued by others, such as invoices, certificates, bank statements, official receipts or identity documents. Altering those documents and presenting them as genuine may be a crime.

If an official document has a mistake, the right thing to do is ask whoever issued it to correct it.

Common problems and how to fix them

When I turn on "Edit", the text I want to change doesn't show up

That part of the document is probably an image (a scan, a logo or text turned into graphics). It can't be edited as text, but you can add new text with the "Text" tool.

The edited text shows in a different font

The PDF uses a typeface that isn't available in the editor, so the closest one is used. Check whether the difference is acceptable for your purpose.

The "Save PDF" button is disabled

It turns on once the document finishes loading. If you press it without making changes, the editor will tell you with a notice at the bottom of the screen.

I made a mistake in an edit

Select the text and type the original content again: the change is discarded on its own. If you deleted some text, click where it was and use "Restore text". New text is removed with "Delete text" or the Delete key.

What happens to your documents

Your PDF is used to display it in the editor and to generate the version with your changes. Files sent to the server are deleted automatically shortly after processing. We don't look at the content of your documents or share them with third parties.

Your original file isn't changed: the changes are saved in a new PDF.
